Two first-half goals from Ray Dwolitka ensured Whaley Bridge’s safe passage through to the third round of the Derbyshire Senior Cup after an impressive midweek showing against Belper United.

Whaley Bridge advanced to the second round of the Derbyshire Senior Challenge Cup with a 2-0 victory over local rivals Chapel Town.

Congratulations to the senior squad who last season 13/14 set an example by achieving the best disciplinary record in the entire CFL.

Although it would appear that ill-discipline and poor sportsmanship did on oaccasion prove to be beneficial in some quarters; the authorities in some instances seemingly not prepared to stand up to that, WBAFC will not succumb to that philosphy!

Nothiing irks a loud mouthed opposition more than a team that just gets on with it, plays hard and keeps it shut; after all the Ref never changes his mind and ultimately the only loser is the guy paying the fine!

Well done and let's even aim to improve on that record next year.
