Good performance all round

After 20 minutes of the game gone, Whaley had squandered 4 good chances. Finally the breakthrough came from a corner whipped across by Drayson a was volleyed in by Newton. 0-1

2 goals quickly followed from corners, the first a bullet header from Hudson and the second a duffed shot from J.Shuker that just trickled over the line; barely hitting the back of the net! By his reaction, everyone watching would have thought he had put one in the top corner from 30 yards! 3-0 at half time

Second half, the goals started to flow. With constant pressure, Whaley kept possession of the ball well from the back line to the forwards. A good second half from Reynolds got him the 3 goals he deserved. Jackson also cashed in and scored 2 goals. The pick of the goals for the day came from Drayson, chipping the keeper from 25 yards, only to be bettered by Folds who blasted into the top corner with an unstoppable strike.

Good performances by Hughes, Langford, Schofield in nets and veteran Lomas. Also good contributions from all 3 subs; Robinson, Jones and L. Shuker.
