Whaley Bridge FC Under 11's awarded the Stockport Metro League - Jim Hubbard Memorial Trophy

The League Secretary called me yesterday to let me know that Whaley Bridge U11's had been nominated for and have been awarded, the Jim Hubbard Trophy, one of the longest standing trophies awarded by The Metro League and awarded for all round effort, sportsmanship and achievement. He dropped me an e-mail with the following words:

"There is a special trophy at under 11 age group and it goes to the team that in my view shows all that is good about kids football, commitment from managers, players and parents. Keeping going and always trying your best even when results don't go your way and most of all enjoying playing, managing and watching."
